Who is eligible to take part in the clinic?

• All eligible residents (see york.ca/covid19vaccine for full eligibility list)

• 60+ living in L3S or L6G, and a companion accompanying the senior at the time of vaccination (both senior and companion must be pre-registered and have confirmed appointment times)

Is this for a first or second dose?

This clinic will be administering first doses only.

If you have already received a COVID-19 vaccine, please do not book. We will not vaccinate a second dose under any circumstance.

What is a companion? Am I a companion?

A companion is any adult aged 18+ who is accompanying an eligible senior 60+ for vaccination.

You do not have to reside in the same household, but you must physically accompany the eligible senior to receive the shot.

Can I walk in without an appointment? Will there be a lineup?

All those without appointments will be refused entry into the vaccination site. All adults must have an appointment.

We will be spacing out appointments in such a way to ensure lineups and wait times are minimized.

What ID is required?

You will need to prove your age and address. The following IDs are recommended:

• Health card

• Driver’s License

• Ontario Photo ID

• Any utility or tax bill

• Any bank statement

OHIP cards are recommended, but not required.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

YES! Your email confirmation contains a link to reschedule your appointment if are unable to make it.

Please remember that you will need to reschedule the eligible senior and companion in the same timeslot. Companions will not be vaccinated without an eligible senior being vaccinated at the same time.

What vaccine is being offered?

Pfizer vaccines is being offered by this clinic. The type of vaccine is subject to change depending on vaccine supply.

All vaccines offered by York Region is approved by Health Canada, and are safe for all Canadians. Please do not hesitate. Please do not shop around for a particular brand of vaccine.
